Q) What about lost wages?

A) There are several different types of lost wage benefits.  If you are totally disabled from work you are entitled to what is called temporary total disability benefits, that is a wage loss replacement benefit that is paid to you when you are not able to work.  If you go back to work and you are earning less money than you did at the time of the injury Workers Compensation will pay a portion of that difference in pay between your old wage and your current earning. That is called temporary partial disability.  There are limitations on temporary total and temporary partial disability as to the number of weeks and when you can receive them.  If you can never return to work you are entitled to what is called permanent total disability permanent total will pay you a weekly check up through age 67.
