Q)  How do I tell my employer that I was hurt on the job?

A) There are several things you can do to report an injury to your employer.  First of all you need to file a written report called a first report of injury.  All you have to do is tell the human resources person or your supervisor that you've been hurt on the job and they should file the claim for you.  If the employer refuses to file the claim, you should contact the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry and they will assist you in filing the claim.
