What injuries area covered by Workers Compensation MN?
Q) What injuries area covered by Workers Compensation MN?
A) Only physical injuries are covered for Workers Compensation benefits however there are several types of physical injuries. For instance if I am carrying a box and I fall down and break my leg it is very easy to say on that particular day I broke my leg that's what we call a traumatic injury. Also gillette injuries are covered. Gillete injuries occur over a period of time as a result of a repetitive activity. For instance if I'm a barrel maker and I spend 30 years making a barrel one of those days my shoulder is just going to freeze up. I can't say on November 14th I didn't had the problem and November 15th I did, because it came out after a period of time, developed over a period of time. As a result, that's called a Gillette injury and that is covered. If you suffer from an occupational disease, such as if you were exposed to chemicals on the job and you develop cancer again you can't say one day I had and the other day I didn't. Occupational diseases are also covered. Consequential injuries are covered. For instance if I have a back injury and I devlope a leg pain, both the back pain and leg pain are covered.
